Dorchester Preparatory School was founded in 1947; the senior school, was added in 1999, operating as one school with ISA accreditation as Dorchester Preparatory and
Independent School.

The school provides for children from age 3 to 18, an education that facilitates their intellectual, physical, moral, spiritual, aesthetic and social development, and helps to develop their individual potential.
Our location in the centre of the historic county town of Dorchester gives us the use of a wide range of facilities and resources. The world heritage Jurassic Coast is nearby, providing a wealth of educational opportunities.
