Hethersett Old Hall School
Reviews | News | Further Information Founded in 1928 at Hellesdon House near Norwich, it moved to its present site in 1938. The main building is a fine early Georgian house set in beautiful gardens and grounds. This and its associated buildings have been modernised and enlarged, most recently adding new junior buildings and pre-prep department, science labs and an art and technology suite. Boarders have comfortable accommodation and there is a separate sixth-form house with a common room. Sports and games facilities include an indoor swimming pool and sports hall. The school is affiliated to the Church of England, but children of other denominations are welcomed. Morning assembly usually takes a Christian form and aims to stimulate spirituality as well as develop Christian attitudes and ideals. A small school, it fosters a happy family atmosphere. A standard range of sports and games is available (regular county players at hockey and netball) and there is a good variety of extra-curricular activities.
