School Profile

Lingfield Notre Dame School is a Christian based school and all denominations are welcomed. It was founded in 1940 and is the only local independent day school which provides education for boys and girls from Nursery to Sixth Form. It is situated on the Meridian in 35 acres of attractive grounds surrounded by open countryside. Lingfield train station is close by and coach transport is available from many areas. It has a wide catchment area, with pupils coming from as far afield as Sevenoaks, Crowborough, Woldingham, Westerham, Horsham and Newick.

The Junior and Senior Departments are each self-contained but the Juniors also use some of the Senior School facilities, including fully equipped Auditorium and 15 acre Sports Field. A comprehensive development programme has included new Science, Music & Drama, IT, Sports, Art and Technology facilities. The development continues throughout the school; recent additions include a new sports pavilion and Astroturf pitch, extra facilities for Performing Arts and new classrooms to accommodate students joining at 13+.

Nursery and Junior School pupils are now enjoying Extended Day Care facilities, giving parents greater flexibility for drop-off and pick-up times. Nursery Education Grants are available for 3 and 4 year olds.

The main intake in the Senior School is at 11+ and Sixth Form but due to an increasingly high demand, extra places can now be offered to students at 13+ entry level. Scholarships/bursaries are available at 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form.

Throughout Lingfield Notre Dame there is a fine tradition of academic excellence within a caring, disciplined environment. A Level and GCSE results are consistently excellent, enabling students to gain their first choice of university. LND was ranked amongst the Top 40 Independent Schools in England in recently published League Tables.
